The annual Ifo Brussels International Economic Forum (Ifo BrIEF) - "Is Europe back on a Growth Track with its Energy Union and in Promoting Innovation?" was organised in Brussels on 05th November 2015 by the Munich-based Ifo Institute and hosted by the European Committee of the Regions. The series had the aim of strengthening the contribution of Europe’s economic expertise to European economic policy-making and providing a platform for prominent decision-makers from the world of European politics to meet with renowned economists and discuss core questions pertaining to Europe’s future.
Conference „EuroPCom 2015“
EuroPCom is the European Conference on Public Communication. It's an annual based conference organised by the EU Committee of the Regions, the European Comission, the European Parliament, the Council of the EU, the EU Presidency of the Luxembourg (2015) and the European Economic and Social Committee. This year it reached it's sixth edition and it was held on 21 and 22 October in Brussels in EU Comittee of the Regions and EU Parliament.
Study visit to Brussels
Within the framework of AdriGov project, funded through the EU program of Adriatic cross-border cooperation, organized by the Dubrovnik - Neretva County and Development Agency DUNEA, a study trip of the representatives of local governments and county services of Dubrovnik - Neretva County was held to Brussels.
Conference on the implementation of the European Strategy for the Adriatic - Ionian region
Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić participated on the conference "Adriatic – Ionian Macroregion for Jobs and Growth" that was held in Brussels in the framework of the Open Days week of regions and cities of the EU.
Dubrovnik - Neretva County is one of the members of the Adriatic - Ionian conglomerate that in the framework of the Open Days each year organize conference and discuss some of the issues related to the Adriatic - Ionian macro-region.
EU Committee of the Regions unanimously adopted the Prefect of Dubrovnik-Neretva County's Document opinions
Document opinion "Strengthening cross-border cooperation: the need for a regulatory framework?", which was made by the head of the Croatian delegation to the Committee of the Regions, Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić, was adopted unanimously at the plenary assembly of the European Committee of the Regions. This is also the first time that the Croatian member prepared an opinion for the European Committee of the Regions.
