The IPA Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation Authority and Abruzzo region organized a conference titled "The Future of the EU's Cohesion Policy" in Brussels.
Italian Member of European Parliament Cecile Kashet Kyenge opened the conference and stressed the importance of incorporating migration issues into future EU policies. European Commission. Directorate-General for Regional Policy Officer Luigi Nigri presented the Commission's position on the overall results of the IPA Adriatic program and invited all the stakeholder to continue sharing and promoting best practices and working together.
President of Dubrovnik-Neretva County Nikola Dobroslavić participated in the conference and in his presentation President emphasized the importance of cohesion policy as an important tool for EU member states economic and social development, but also equally important for candidate countries for EU membership in their accession progress.
The IPA Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation Program includes eight countries Italy, Albania, Greece, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia and the aim of the program is to strengthen the opportunities for sustainable development in Adriatic.
