The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in cooperation with ECOLISE has organized the conference „Launch of The European Day of Sustainable Communities“. The conference started on 22nd September.
The participants of the European Day of Sustainable Communities were the creators of EU politics, members of European Commission, members of the EU Parliament, members of EESC, government representatives, the leaders of community, including members of ECOLISE, partner organization, associations and non-government organizations.
During the conference, the live connection was established with organizers. They demonstrated various ways of implementation of politics of sustainable development in different EU countries. The participants had the opportunity to hear about initiatives in European Union for reaching climatic aims, saving natural resources and biological diversity and creating society which is fair and equal for everyone.
The aim of the conference was to inform and involve members of European Union in climatic changes, as well as in sustainability, which is of crucial importance for reaching improvement in local sustainable actions.
