A ceremonial meeting of the Croatian Business Network on marking the 10th anniversary of the Croatian Business Network was held on June 13, 2017 in the premises of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce - Representative Office in Brussels. The topic of this year's meeting was the upcoming Croatian presidency of the Council of the European Union, and Mr. Goran Štefanić, Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative to the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Croatia to the EU, was present at the meeting.
The Croatian Business Network - whose initiator, co-founder and Coordinator of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) - Representative office in Brussels was established on June 13, 2007 with the aim of better visibility of Croatian business interests in Brussels, better information, exchange of experiences and better coordination of activities. The members of the CBN are with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, representations representing the Croatian interests in Brussels, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Kingdom of Belgium, the permanent representation of the Republic of Croatia in the EU, Croatian regional and city representations and the representation of the Croatian Tourist Board.
Throughout the ten years of this network, workshops were organized, initiated and supported economic and cultural activities, entrepreneurs, associations and other interested individuals and organizations were consulted about the possibilities of participating in events in Brussels, using EU funds and presenting them in the Brussels region. After joining the Republic of Croatia in the EU, at the meetings of the HPM, the citizens of Croatia working in EU institutions, representatives of several general governors in the EC, assistants of our representatives in the EP, representatives of the Regional Committee, are hereby invited, all with the aim of exchange of information and development of cooperation.
