Economic Ideas Forum - Brussels 2016


Now in its seventh year, the Economic Ideas Forum, the Martens Centre's high-level conference on economy was held on 8 December 2016 in Brussels.
The Economic Ideas Forum brings together European Commissioners, members of the European Parliament, economic experts, business leaders and other influential stakeholders from around the world. The Forums provide an opportunity to consider innovative ideas and propose solutions to the economic challenges facing the EU economy.
This year's topics for discussion will include the future of work in the sharing economy, technology-driven education and creativity, a long-term vision for digital investment, Brexit scenarios, industry competitiveness, as well as agricultural innovation and growth. Every year, over 250 participants attend the conference.


Through the County Development Agency over the past three and a half years a number of projects have been realized or initiated for which more than 7 million Euros have been provided by the EU
